Cupcakes for Springtime
Designer of these sweet cupcakes describes them thusly: Coffee Cupcakes with Chocolate Buttercream + Chocolate Fondant. That sounds lovely, but to me they just say “Springtime.” Something about the dark chocolate with the lively aquamarine flower and swirly flourish on top reminds me of little flowers popping up through last year’s mulch and dead leaves. It’s so refreshing! Happy Spring!

Sticky Bun
February 21 is National Sticky Bun Day! Well, if you ask me, that is a holiday not to be missed! So I hunted down this beautiful specimen of a caramelly sticky bun. I prefer my buns without nuts, but this is a thing of beauty. What do you think? Nuts or no nuts? Either way, I wouldn’t turn it down if somebody offered it to me, that’s for sure! Plus, I like the way “sticky buns” sounds. Kinda makes me giggle a bit. Cheers!

Blueberry pancakes
January 28 is National Blueberry Pancake Day! In honor of the occasion, I present this beautiful specimen. Something about this particular pancake caught my eye. It was the hot blueberry juice that had burst from the berry up front. See it? Now all I need is some soft butter and warm maple syrup. Where’s my fork?
