I splurged and bought myself a pint of Ben & Jerry’s “Stephen Colbert’s Americone Dream” ice cream today. “Vanilla ice cream with Fudge covered waffle cone pieces & a Caramel swirl.” I don’t plan on sharing it with anybody. Go get your own pint. Cheers!

I just saw this featured on the evening news, and you have to see it! It’s deep-fried bananas foster cheesecake on a stick, and it’s the 2008 Indiana State Fair signature food. The stick-y (haha - get it?) treat features “bites of velvety cheesecake filling, combined with a creamy layer of bananas foster wrapped in a cookie crumb breading and deep fried.” It’s served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce. yummmmm!

The ice cream man is coming!! I can’t see or hear an ice cream truck without hearing comedian Eddie Murphy’s classic “ice cream” monologue in my head.  As I’ve mentioned, we’re in the hot and humid days of summer here in the midwestern United States.  That means that the ice cream trucks are trolling the neighborhoods every afternoon, trying to lure the kids out to spend their allowances on cold treats.  Well, here’s a virtual ice cream truck for you.  Which treat would you choose?  I’ll take one of each, thanks!
