Today is Caramel Apple Day!
This is Caramel Apple Day! Here is your dose of sticky, apply beauty. This is how I like my caramel apples, too. No nuts on the outside. Just lots of thick, buttery caramel. Enjoy!

Rhubarb Dessert
When I was a kid, we had lots of rhubarb around the house. I don’t know whether it was planted there purposely, or whether it was just a weed. Being resourceful and sort of hippy-ish, my parents would gather it and cook it into foods. Let me tell you, you have to add a lot of sugar and stuff to make rhubarb really taste good. We had rhubarb tapioca, rhubarb pie, and rhubarb cobbler, to name a few. You have to enjoy a tart flavor to eat a lot of rhubarb.
Here is a beautiful rhubarb dessert that certainly looks sweet! Do you like rhubarb?

Caramel apples
Autumn is apple season! I have precious memories of visiting rural Wisconsin orchards with my family as a young girl. We sampled apples and fresh cider, and brought home fruit by the bag. Some of our favorites were the small chestnut crabapples, which were crispy, sweet, and the perfect size for a lunchbox snack. Here is a beautiful caramel-covered apple with sprinkles. Yum!
