Caramel apples

by sugargeek on November 6, 2008

Autumn is apple season! I have precious memories of visiting rural Wisconsin orchards with my family as a young girl. We sampled apples and fresh cider, and brought home fruit by the bag. Some of our favorites were the small chestnut crabapples, which were crispy, sweet, and the perfect size for a lunchbox snack. Here is a beautiful caramel-covered apple with sprinkles. Yum!

These look great! It has been so long since I had a caramel apple! Indeed any type of covered apple, might go off and make some… LOL
