Peanut butter chocolate fudge

by sugargeek on May 14, 2008

For Mother’s Day weekend, my family took me on a day trip to Nashville, Indiana. If you’ve never been there, it’s a cute little art colony, with galleries, shops, and sweets shops all over the place! I stopped by the Nashville Fudge Kitchen and indulged in a few treats. One was this beautiful 1/2 pound block of peanut butter chocolate fudge. It was delicious!

And by the way, you can’t imagine the smell inside that shop! The warm, buttery, fudgey aroma was thick, sweet, and heavenly!

Happy Mother’s Day organic cookies

by sugargeek on May 9, 2008

These are USDA-certified organic cookies, and they’re so pretty! I love the combination of pink and yellow, and would be delighted to receive a tin of these for Mother’s Day! Beautiful Sweets has been featured on several television programs, and boasts, “They Taste as Good as They Look.” Suddenly, I’m craving cookies… I’d better go finish making dinner. :-)

Japanese ice cream dessert

by sugargeek on May 5, 2008

I love ice cream, but I’ve never seen it served like this in the United States. This plate has a lovely star-shaped waffle cone bowl, with sweet red beans, green tea soft serve, some kind of lychee or round fruits, bits of cake on the side, and a slice of orange for color and contrast. This is a feast for the eyes, and I can imagine how sweet it tastes!
