Wedding cake with exquisite sugar orchids
Wedding season is approaching, and here is a stunning cake to get you in the mood. Gone are the days of fluffy frosting and miniature plastic people on top of the cake. This elegant cake is covered in smooth, pale pink and rich brown fondant, and festooned with delicate, handmade, gumpaste orchids. Those blossoms look amazing, especially the very thin, fluted edges. And look at the painted details, too. The touches of pink and yellow, and the tiny freckles on the petals. Wow.

This cake does not look too hard to do at all! I’m not even a professional but I’ve made a beautiful 3 tier cake for my son’s b-day, which turned out fabulous and cost me less than 50 dollars to make! Maybe I should go into business, huh?
